Genevieve Syed, MD
Genevieve Syed, MD, grew up in Chicago, IL, where she completed her
medical school at Rush University. She and her husband were drawn to the
mountains, and she thus finished her residency in Denver, CO, at the St.
Anthony's Family Medicine Program. She became a Board Certified Family
Physician in 2006, and worked in a few different practices in Denver and
Leadville before finding her ideal job at High Country Health Care in
Summit County, where she started in June, 2008.
Dr. Syed is currently working at the Silverthorne office. She loves
coming to work because of the variety of patients she sees doing the full
spectrum of care in Family Medicine, including acute orthopedic care and
geriatrics, but she most enjoys seeing children and doing women's health
care. Her favorite part of medicine is the relationships she forms with
her patients, and she is excited to continue building her practice so
close to home. She can communicate with you in English, Spanish, and some
French.
Dr. Syed works part-time 2-3 days per week, and spends her days off
taking care of her son, Aman. She and her family enjoy spending time in
the mountains hiking, biking, and snow-shoeing, and now that her son has
his own pair of skis, will likely do a lot more skiing in the very near
future.
