Heather Boucher, Summit County’s first and only Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), MPH provides full-scope women’s health care that includes both obstetrical and gynecological services. Heather also acts as surgical assist for cesarean sections and gynecological surgeries.
As a Certified Nurse Midwife, Heather encourages women to take an active role in making the right health care decisions for themselves and their families. Realizing these choices are often based on cultural and personal preferences, Heather enjoys taking the time to educate and inform her patients.
Heather grew up in Westchester County, outside of New York City, but fell in love with Summit County when she first came here in 1995. In 1999, she returned to New York City to attend Columbia University where she received both her Masters in Nursing and Masters in Public Health. After working for over three years in a busy inner-city hospital in the South Bronx, Heather decided it was time to return to the mountains and a more intimate community.
When Heather is not seeing patients in the office or birthing babies at the hospital, you can find her doing one of the many activities that brought her back to Summit County—riding her bike, hitting the slopes, or cross country skiing with her dogs.
