Elisabeth Kuper, MD joins CHPG High Country Healthcare in Silverthorne. Originally from Nebraska, Dr. Kuper is board certified with expertise in the full spectrum of family medicine. “After I completed my residency I stayed in Boise to work in a full spectrum clinic and teach new residents about family medicine,” said Dr. Kuper. After three years she decided to explore other parts of the United States and spent 18 months traveling with her husband, experiencing healthcare systems in various settings.
Dr. Kuper moved to Summit County in April 2015 to provide comprehensive care for families from infancy to adults and every age in between. Dr. Kuper wants to assist her patients meeting their healthy, wellness goals including effective lifestyle changes to help patients stay active and prevent chronic diseases. “I am passionate about the care of the entire family,” she said.
Enjoying the outdoors by hiking, skiing and attending outdoor concerts, Dr. Kuper looks forward to her first summer season in the high country. She wants to try more cross country skiing and back country hut trips this coming winter.
During the past year and a half, Dr. Kuper practiced in Albuquerque, NM providing care for newborns, adults and geriatric patients at Presbyterian Hospital Urgent Care and in Fort Wainwright, AK at Bassett Army Community Hospital. Most recently she worked in Colorado Springs at an outpatient, adult medicine clinic.
She earned her medical degree from Washington University at the St. Louis School of Medicine, receiving the Family Health Foundation of Missouri Scholarship award. Dr. Kuper received her Bachelor of Science in History from University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE.
