Dr. Amy Tomlinson is a Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist.
Dr. Tomlinson was born in Indiana and raised in Wisconsin. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She was also recognized by Phi Beta Kappa and received honors in Biology.
Dr. Tomlinson attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin where she developed their first Integrative Medicine course. She began a Family Practice Residency in Boise, Idaho where she learned that her true love was OB/GYN. Dr. Tomlinson then completed an OB/GYN residency at the University of New Mexico.
While in residency Dr. Tomlinson conducted research in incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse and developed a sexual health curriculum for high school students. After residency she delivered care to rural communities all over New Mexico. For two years she was an Obstetric Hospitalist in Albuquerque caring for women with high-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Tomlinson has been practicing with High Country Healthcare OB/GYN since 2008. She loves the Summit County mountain community and all of the fun it has to offer. She volunteers at the Summit Community Care Clinic and participates in Free Surgery days. Her husband, Brett Tomlinson, is the Dean of Students at Summit High School.
